This Fourth Generation "Squarebird" was Fords Top Large Personal Luxury Car of the day. It has the famous Tilt Away Steering Column, the optional Select Air Conditioning, And the Silent-Flow Ventilation for front and back passengers. This popular Maroon color with its rear fender skirts really makes for a striking classic. The White interior with the "Wrap Around Cockpit style" dash layout was setting the style in 64. It has the nifty crank out vent windows optional auto door locks and safety flashers. Convenience and Luxury were the selling points of the "Unique in all the World" 1964 Thunderbird.
This car is rock solid with no rust/rot and the interior is all there. It runs and drives and is a fantastic starter for a fairly easy restoration. Its time for a repaint and TLC but a strong contender for a refresh. This Alabama car has been out of direct sunlight and weather and it shows. The odometer shows 9600 miles it has a newer Edelbrock carburetor and starts easily. This is a fun classic that you do not see very many of and one in this shape and price range are scarce. Some paint and a little wrenching and you have a great weekend driver for shows and Cars and Coffee events. Get your classic luxury ride here! Shown by appointment.
